Taking the first step to losing weight and abdominal fat can be somewhat confusing. With so many books, articles, and train at home dvd programs tooting new and different ways to shave off those unwanted extra pounds it’s simply hard to pick which one is best for you. To get you started on the right foot, here’s a few tips.

1.Eat 5 or 6 smaller meals a day rather than 2 or 3 larger ones. Eating in this fashion will maintain a steady metabolism rate throughout the day.
2.Eat a majority of your carbs early in the day, and eat less and less carbs with your meals throughout the rest of the day.
3.Go for a walk. Walking 30 minutes to an hour will help get that metabolism going.
4.Eat carbs that have a moderate to low glycemic index. Carbs with a high glycemic index will pack on the weight amongst other health problems.
5.Substitute small snacks such as protein enriched health bars for 2 or 3 of your meals.
Losing weight doesn’t have to be difficult and daunting. Just a few simple changes can make a world of difference.
